I am researching my g-grandfather's family, Arsua. My g-grandfather was Manuel Fernandez Arsua. He was born in Everglades City, Florida on 4/18/1919. His mother was Mary Hamilton, she later married a "Wiggins". His father was Fernando Arsua, he was Spanish and possibly from Miami, Florida. Manuel Arsua lived and died in Tavernier, Florida. He died 8/28/1991. Manuel married Mary Elizabeth Albury of Tavernier, Florida. Mary died 5/23/1998 in Tavernier, Florida as well. Manuel sometimes went by the name of Manuel Robert Wiggins, in honor of the stepfather that raised him, Mr. Wiggins. I do not have Mr. Wiggins first name Manuel is of mixed ancestry. His mother, Mary was either full Seminole or Cherokee, or at least half of one. I have been told that Arsua is from the Basque region in Spain, but I have also found the name in the Philippines. ANY info on Manuel, Mary Hamilton or Mr. Wiggins would be great.
