BOHAN, BOWEN Paul Bohan was born circa 1820 in Ireland. Have record of his marriage in 1843 in New Haven, CT to Anne Rourke also born in Ireland circa 1824. they had children beginning in 1845 with twins, MaryAnne and Thomas, followed by Daniel in 1847 Daniel moved south after his fathers death and ended up in Pensacola, FL where his name spelling changed to Bowen. Also had two more daughters, Eliizabeth born 1849 and Catherine born 1855. All children except Catherine were born in New Haven, CT. Marriage of Paul and Anne witnessed by Patrick Gilhuly and Mary Bohan. Mary Bohan was married to Patrick Bohan also born Ireland, but do not know relationship of Patrick and Paul to each other. They did enlist in the 9th CT Infantry for the Civil War on the same day and place (New Haven, CT) Paul died on the battle field in/around New Orleans, LA (Camp Parapet) and Patrick was later discharged. Have documentation of all of above, but am desperately seeking info on where in Ireland Paul Bohan came from. He cam eto the US between birth and 1843. Also have names of baptism sponsors for children and minors pension petition for Cathrine on file. Any info would be appreciated. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
