I am working on the Nitz genealogy. My grandfather's name was Gustav Hermann Nitz. He was born in the province of Posen Germany. He with his parents and older brothers emigrated to the US in the 1890s and the family settled in Oshkosk Wisconsin. His father's name was Wilhelm Nitz and his mother was Emilie Beier. His grandparents were Michael Nitz and Wilhemine Strahlau. I hope this is of some help. Please contact me for more details.
