Seeking information on the family of GEORGE SMITH,believed to have come from Ireland, settling in Edgecomb Co., NC. His son WILLIS SMITH was in the Continental Line and killed by Tories in the Revolutionary Waron 1 August 1782. Grandson MILLINGTON SMITH,1773-1835, married BARTON, 1780-1832, in 1799 in Stewart Co., TN.One of his sons CARDWELL B SMITH married HETTY HUGGINS RIFFE in 850 at Clark Co., Arkansas.
