Martinson, OLAF or OLAV or OLEF. Listed as Melvin Lee, son of Frederich William Klingbeil, born Oct 27/28, 1882 in Enderlin, ND. FRED or FREDERIC William Klingbeil was found to be Melvin Lee's father. Cleigbol was found to be Klingbeil from St Petrie church records after much examination. (Don't always believe what has been written down by someone else-go staright to the records) Fred died in Salem, Ore March 12, 1947 with a wife of Emma. He has a wife of Bertha in the 1920 census. Born 2/13/1883 and died 2/11/1919 in Fargo of Scarlet Fever in Fargo. After two trips and one reunion of the Lee family in Nome, ND, we have found many family members. The Reference found it listed in the newspaper, "The Statesman", Salem, Or, Friday 3-14-1947 Pg 5. Klingbeil, In this city March 12, Fred W. Klingbeil, age 64, late resident of route 5, box 252, Salem. Husband of Emma G. Klingbeil, brother of Mrs. Hattie Loomis and Mrs. George Nelson, both of Enderland, N.D. (NOTE from JOAN-this was the spelling used in obit); Mrs. Charles Pike, Superior, Wis.; Mrs. Art Tupper, Santa Cruz; Mrs. Alvena Michand, St Paul, Minn. Services Saturday, March 15, at 3 p.m., the W.T. Rigdon chapel. Concluding services at Belcrest Memorial Park, the Rev. S. Raynor Smith officiating. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
