Query Text: |
REA family of Bastard township, Leeds County, Ontario (Johnstown District, Upper Canada). William Franklin Rea born in Northern Ireland (possibly near Donegal Bay) in 1782 recieved land in Goulbourn township in Canada (supposedly for his service in the British Army in India or in the Napoleonic Wars). Came to Canada around 1820 after(?) his marriage to Mary Ann Ladley / Laidley. I would like to find some link to Ireland other than family lore that he is from Donegal and/or Lock Rea. My assumption is if he was born in Donegal Bay then it was near Enniskillen. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
