I am looking for any information on a person by the name of Abraham Roberts. I am not sure of his birthdate but suspect it may be the late 1700/early 1800. He apparently lived in Gates County, North Carolina. My great great-grandfather Isom Owens said his father's name was Abraham Robert(s) from Gates County. That is the only information I have on Abraham Robert(s). It is said that Isom Owens was fairly small of stature, and handsome. He fought at Fort Wagner (depicted in the movie "Glory") He had temporary orders that attached him to the 54th Massachusetts Regiment.
