Seeking copies of poems, other works and information by/of: Fannie Borland (born Fanny Green Borland, 1848AR), Fannie Borland Moores, aka: Violet Lea, Born & raised in Arkansas, moved from little Rock were she was the bell-of-the-ball, along with Gen Pikes daughters, to Memphis 1869 where widowed in 1878 by yellow fever, she also died of yellow fever 23 Aug 1879 at sister's, widow Mary M. Beattie who also lost her husband John M. Beattie to yellow fever, home @ 482 Main Street. Husband James C. Moores was a saddler according to information, who married her 21 Apr 1869, in Little Rock, one son born 1869 in TN, son George B., found in 1880 census with half-brother Harold Borland in Arkansas. Known works are "At My Father's Feet", "The Baby of Lillie", "Dilsey at The North", "Born Dead" and a poetic tribute to Walter Harvey who died of yellow fever in Memphis,1878, and member of the Blue City Gray's. We understad many of her works were published in newspapers. We have copies of her, "The Dead Confederacy" <http://members.cox.net/confed/poetry/poem99.html>, acclaimed in London after introduced there by Father Abram Ryan, and "David O. Dodd". Your help will be greatly appreciated, for there was never a compilation of her works which starts in Princeton, AR as a teenager during civil war with tutelage of artist and writer,Virginia LaFayette (Davis) Gray (1834ME-1886AR) & Oliver Crosby Gray (1831ME-1905AR), who in 1889 married her widowed sister, Mary M.
