Looking for information on John Oates born c 1812 possibly in the Roscommon area of Ireland. Married Margaret (surname unkown. They had three children born in Ireland - Catherine c1838, Patrick c1845 & Ellen c 1847. They all emigrated to Manchester,England in appx 1848 where my ggt grandfather James Oates was born in 1850. John & Margaret worked in the cotton mills in the Ancoats area of Manchester. Any information reagarding the family in Ireland would be greatly appreciated. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
