I am researching the family names of Fitzsimons, Fitzharris, Murphy, Moore and Feehan. My grandmother was Murphy and married a Richard Fitzharris, a widower with two boys, Richard and Joseph. They then had three girls, Marcella, my mother, Mary and Elizabeth. They ran a grocer's shop in Capel Street Dublin (no. 68 )cirrca 1890-1916. My mother described the farm where they spent their holidays. It was called "Ballybow," after the townland, near Blessington, co. Wicklow. The family name was Fitzsimons,(I think ).I met the last cousin still living there in 1966,but we lost contact again, probally when he died. His name was Christy.(Christopher Fitzsimons? ) Marcella married John James Moore who served in the army W.W.1. They married in Birmingham as the whole extended family had emigrated to England in 1916. I married a Patrick Joseph Feehan from Newtownhamilton S. Armagh, although the postal adress is Newry Co. Down. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
