My GrGrGrandfather was John Hodson, born in Fairfield or Highland County, Ohio, in 1813, then coming to Fayette and Shelby County Illinois. He bought public domain land in Shelby County, Illinois in 1836. I am trying to find out who his parents were. The surname in Ohio could have been Hodgson. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
