Am looking for any information regarding a ZACHARIAH W. ARNOLD, b. 1798 SC, d. 1857 Prentiss Co., MS. He is found in Greenwood Co. in the 1820's and 1830's living in the Deadfall area. Zach married Unknown and had children: John Frederick Arnold, b. 1826 Greenwood Co., SC; William H. Arnold, b. 1827 SC; and Elvira Jane Arnold, b. 1830 SC. Zach then married Casandra Gray in 1836 and had Thomas J. Arnold, b. 1840. My Greenwood Co. Arnold family is related somehow to the Laurens Co., SC Arnolds but what their connection is unknown. My Arnolds lived in the the same area of Greenwood County as James and Nancy Lumsden Arnold of Spotsylvania Co., VA and James brother, John Arnold with his wife, Barbara Pettus Arnold. James and John are sons of Wm. Arnold and Mary Davenport. This family left Greenwood County around 1842 and is found in Tippah County, Mississippi by 1850.
