Hello, I'm searching for information regarding my g-g-g grandfather Nelson Ball. He was born in North Carolina in 1804. He was married 3 times, Edney Jerden,17 Oct. 1827 in Wilks County,North Carolina/ Mary "Cova" Ruth Dugger,4 Oct. 1838 in Carter County Tn.My g-g-g grandmother/ and Ruth Childress Gray 10 February 1849 in Monroe, Tennessee. I am despartely trying to find out who his parents were, and where he is buried. To my knowledge he died in 1859. One son was John Nelson Ball who fought with McKenzie's Raiders in the Civil War. I have information on his life, but have hit a brick wall other than 1840 and 1850 census where Nelson is concerned. He lived in Sevier County, Tn. according to the 1840 census. He lived in Richmond Couty, Ga. according to the 1850 census where John Nelson Ball was born in 1846. Any information that would lead me to his parents would be so greatly appreciated. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
