To whom it my concern, I'm a Reger researcher and I want to write a short biography of Nimrod Damascus Reger; I have a number of documents pertaining to his Civil War days; Nim was the brother to my husband's g grandfather, Nathan Filmore Reger; I have some written accounts of Nim's wartime adventures (these were written by his brother N. F.Reger. I also have the information that Nim submitted to Roy B Cook, for the book that Cook wrote, Lewis County and the Civil War; I have a Civil War pass of Nathan Reger's, his father; and I just found out that Nathan was in Camp Chase of Ohio during the Civil war and will be receiving those letters to add to my book; I have a document when Isaac Newton Reger, Nim's brother, was elected as 2nd Lt;..also, a letter that was written to Nathan about the death of his son, Newt, of the 31st VA Infantry Co.; What I want to do is follow Newt and Nim through the Civil War; Newt was killed at the battle of Gaines Mill on June 27, 1862;Of course Nim made it all of the way until the end at Appomattox. I've put two books together from the letters, documents, and picture that I have in my possession and hope that I can add a third book to my list; My question to you is; Do you have anything that I can use as info for this bio? I have some pictures, but would like to have more;. any letters that were written. any documents. Stories of any kind would be appreciated. Please let me know if you'd be willing to help me on this project. Family line...
