Are there Dotsons or Thomas's here? I am trying to research our American Indian heritage, and am lost. Here's what I know. Any help would be great! My father was Kenneth Thomas, born in Central, W.Va. His father was Henry or James Henry Thomas, and his mother was Lonia V. (Lona) Dotson. Henry's father was Ike Thomas, whose family was originally from Wales. Ike married a full-blooded American Indian, but we don't know her name or her tribe. We don't know where she was born, or other children that Ike and she had. So, my father's grandmother on his father's side was American Indian. Also, my father's mother, Lona Dotson, was supposed to be Cherokee and Wyandot descent. One of these grandmothers was supposed to have lived on a reservation in Ohio. My father, Kenneth, had brothers named Avery, Guy, Howard and Coral (Tommy), and sisters named Maxine, Ruby, Goldie and Opal. My grandfather, Henry, married a woman named Hazel after my grandmother's death of cancer. Does anyone recognize any of this? Linda (Thomas) in Pennsylvania | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
