I am trying to find out any information that I can about my Great Grandparents,Zita and Joseph P. Kelly. They had three children,John,Joan(or Joanne)and Catherine. I know that my Grandfather,John was born in Flint, Michigan,in May of 1923.I believe he was the oldest child. He died in Klamath Falls, Oregon 10-04-1953,he married my Grandmother Betty in 1945,at the chapel at the Presidio in March of 1945. I have been told that my Great Grandfather died of uranium poisioning,or something like that,I dont know when. I dont know why my Great Grandmother,Zita lived at the Presidio until her death,I have her last address as 3107 Fillmore San Fransisco.(1955)I believe she died in the early 1960's,she was dead before 1970,that I know. I found a death notice for Joan or Joanne,she was 44,and this was in 1977-78,her last name was Stewart,she had three children,who I believe are still living,she died in Reno, Nevada. My Great Grandmother was a devote Catholic,and I was told she was buried next to her husband in a Catholic cemetary south of SanFransisco. I was told that they were in one that was right next to another,two Catholic cemetaries in a row.I have contacted a few cemetaries and have had no luck. One lady told me that Zita probally was'nt her real name,a knickname,because if she was a true "god fearing Catholic,she would have been named after a Saint". I have several legal papers that she signed as Zita,so I dont know. All of her children died very young,the two daughters of rare disorders,or so Im told. My Mother told me Zita and Joseph came from Ireland,but Im not sure,as I was told that years ago,and my Mother is no longer here to ask. Zita is not a common name,and I thought that I would at least get something on one of the web sites,but no such luck.I have also struck out at the Presidio. I am trying to find out some info,using my Grandfather's military numbers,but am waiting on those. Thanks for any help. Eric Larson-Kelly
