Query Text: |
Looking for my Ggrandmother's origin. Matilda Workman Blankenship was the daughter of Stephen Workman and his second wife, Minerva J. Sarver but was raised by her step-mother (Steve's third wife) Hannah Hankins(Hawkins). We don't know what happened to Minverva J. Sarver between the birth of Hester in 1895 and 1897 when Hannah married Steve Workma. He had seven children from the marriage with Minerva and he and Hannah had at least two more. Stephen Workman was born in Raleigh County and she was born in Tazewell County, VA about 1887. We think this was the first marriage for her. Steve had been married twice before 1. Nancy E. Workman b 14 Dec 1857 d 10 Apr 1878 2. Minerva J. Sarver b 1859 d ?. We don't know where Steve and Hannah died or are buried. Any one with any info please help; I have hit the brick wall. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
