I am researching George Washington Thompson b.1799, in King George County, Va. he married Sarah Elizabeth Dingus, daughter of John Dingus of Russell & Scott County, Va. in 1833. G. W. Thompson's parents were Epperson and Hisse Thompson; my problem is there is no record of Epperson & Hisse in King George County. According to family legend George W. was a man of dark complexion and was probably at least 1/2 Indian mabe Pamunkey. Is there any way to research the Indians in 1800 in King George County. I have found a Epperson Thompson who was born later, so possibly this was a branch of the same family. If anyone has any information, it would be greatly appreciated & will share what I have on the Thompson line. Darrel G. Hensley darrelghensley@yahoo.com | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
