My Great Grandfather is my "Brick Wall" His full name is EDWARD JAMES HACKLEY. I found him on the 1880 Carbondale, Illinois Census listed as an orphan, age 16 in 1880. My best quess? Is he was a Civil War orphan. The census had "Parents Birth" crossed over several times. After many searches, I suspect he was the son of ELIAS JAMES HACKLEY of Cumberland County Illinois.
