Looking for the gravesite and other info on Civil War veteran Jonathan S. May who served with the 87th Pennsylvania Infantry. May (Jul 31, 1842 - May 20, 1922) was born in Manchester Township, York County, Pennsylvania, the first child of Jesse & Elizabeth May. He married Sarah Ellen Shook August 2, 1874, in Miami, Ohio, but she died 1877; remarried Mary Jane Kister (Cesson) February 19, 1882 in Miami, but she died 1889. Children: William "Willie" Morrison (b. 02/27/83) and Mary Ada May (b. 04/20/86 - d. 04/02/92). Remarried widow Frances Ellen Skinner Deardorff June 17, 1893, in Paulding County, Ohio, but she died 1895. Jonathan died in Payne, Paulding County, Ohio. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
