I am searching for J. E. or James E. SIMMONS who was in the 62nd Regiment, Company I, Infantry during the Civil War. (Also, his parents, etc., names unknown.) He was born about 1828. He married a Parlee ____ and they had a son named James Madison Simmons. Any help is greatly appreciated!
