I seem to have found the parents of of my G.G. Grandfather Alonzo H. Howard who was born about 1825 in New Hampshire. The 1880 census of Livingston, Otsego, Michigan lists Alonzo Howard as age 55, farmer, birthplace NH. It lists the birthplace of both parents as NH. I believe the parents of Alonzo H. Howard to be James Howard born about 1800 in New Hampshire. Died between 1835-1840 in Exeter, Penobscot, ME. He was married to Mary ___ ? Mary Howard is listed alone with her children. Alonzo H. Howard married Mary Jane Rich and they had ten children. The first three children were born at Troy, Rensselaer Co, NY. The family moved to Gaylord, Otsego Co, MI after 1857 where the next seven children were born. Children of Alonzo and Mary Jane Howard are; Charles Howard born 1854 Lydia Belle Howard born abt 1855; married Freelin Chester Knowlton. Edward Alanzo Bancroft Howard II, Rev born December 25, 1857 married Mary Ann Bell. Betsy Ann Howard born November 1860; married George Fredrick Cady. James E. Howard born about 1864; married Katherine; they lived in Canada and died there. Mary J. Howard born about 1865; married Mr. Webster. Child was Alanzo Webster. Minnie Augusta Howard born May 26, 1870; married Thomas Bagley. They had 12 children. Ida May Howard born June 26, 1873; married Neil McDougall. They had six children. Harriet Ferlvoicle Howard born May 14, 1875; died at 7 months of age at Otsego Lake, Otsego, MI. Baby Girl Howard born November 20, 1876, died at birth.
