My grandfather was a 1st mate on the Barkentine Fanny, he lived in St. John's Newfoundland, Canada, but I cannot find his exact birthdate or where he was born. Died in St. Johnn's in 1893 at age 52. Married to a Margaret Mary Walsh who had a grocery store. She made candies, also. They lived at one time on James St., her store was on Cofield Land or Coefield Lane. off James ST.
