I have learned that my great- grandfather was supposedly of a Choctaw Indian heritage. I believe his name was James Cleghorn, and he married Emiline Deaton. They moved to the Victoria, Texas area, where my maternal grandmother was born in 1871. I have information from this point on, but I am interested in the prior history of my great-grandfather Cleghorn. I saw an episode on PBS years ago about "The West", and in it was an interview of a Choctaw woman named Cleghorn. I think she lived in Oklahoma, but I am not sure.
