My name is Van Newborn and I’m trying to put together my family history.I’m looking for African Americans who have the last names Newburn or Newborn who have relatives in the Arkadelphia, Arkansas area.There may be other relatives in other parts of Arkansas like around the Marianna area or east Arkansas. I was told of a story about two of the brothers that got off of the wagon in east Arkansas before the others made it to the Arkadelphia area. I was told these brothers left a plantation in Tennessee in the 1860’s and headed to Arkansas. I also know that this family was not in Tennessee long because census records show them as being born in North Carolina. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
