Query Text: |
Do you have relatives by the name of Thompson in Kentucky? My great grandfather Josiah Thompson and his wife Laura and 3 children Georgian, John, and Josiah appear on the 1860 census in Camp County, TX. This census shows they were all born in Kentucky. As the 1850 census does not show names of wives, children, etc. I thought maybe some descendents of this couple's siblings in KY might be attempting to trace them. This great grandfather was in the Civil War. He later became an outlaw and along with Ben Bickerstaff was killed in the town of Alvarado, TX on April 5, 1869. The two of them are buried in Balch cemetery in Alvarado. One of Josiah's children, James Henry Thompson was my grandfather, and I know the whereabouts of one other, the younger Josiah. If you have info, please email me. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
