Seeking info Michael O'Malley who changed his surname to Malia/Melia upon his arrival in England.Michael is believed to have been born in Westport Co Mayo his fathers name is John O'Malley mothers name unknown, names of siblings also unknown. Michael married Mary Moran 14th June 1890 at St Bede's Chapel, Westoe Lane, South Shields he was using the surname Malia. His marriage cert tells me he was a widower aged 30yrs which means he could have been born in 1860.Michael & Mary had three children John Michael born in 1889, Anthony & Patrick. Patrick died 1st July 1916 aged 22yrs Somme, France, his parents address at this time 6 Greenmans Bank, Liddell St, North Shields. Co Durham.
