Searching for family of or information about Mary Lou Smitherman who lived in Bienville, Louisiana while, perhaps, being reared by a sister, Mrs. Daisy Smitherman Butler and her husband Charles Thomas Butler. Married Kendall S. Ickes I, approx. 1919. Died at childbirth Oct. 15, 1924 in Waco, Texas. Buried in Bienville, LA. (New info: Mary Lou was born in Louisiana, both her parents were born in Alabama. She attended the Normal School in Bienville, and was an English teacher at El Paso High School according to 1920 census.) 12/14/03 New info due to geneology research angel! Mary L. parents were Wilson H. Smitherman and Virginia Harriet Langston. Another sibling was Ruby Smitherman. Uncle: Robert Smitherman. Grandmother: Lucretia Smitherman.
