CAPT. J. F. JANES. Looking for information on this man who was in San Francisco in 1908. Wrote a piece for the "City Front Pioneer" San Francisco Sept. 5, 1908. Signed it CAPT. J. F. JANES (Stickeen). He captained a small ship up and down the Pacific Coast. I have not been able to find this publication. He says that this is the first of a series of pieces under the title: "Fifty-Six years on the Pacific Coast" giving accounts of his adventures. I would like to fine more about this man and if he is related to Henry F. Janes who settled in Humboldt Co., CA in 1851. Thanks for any information you can give me.
