Query Text: |
Need information about Isaac Ammons/Almons/Almonds. Born about 1760 and died December 20, 1820 in Whitely Twp, Greene Co., PA. Married to Susannah UNKNOWN. Children were George Ammons +Sarah Wright, Abraham Ammons +Mary Brown, Catherine Ammons +James Anderson, Hannah Ammons +Daniel Rich, Solomon Ammons +Catherine Anderson, David Ammons +Jane Anderson, Sarah Ammons, Joshua Ammons +Sarah Jane Anderson, William P. Ammons, Mary Ammons +John Hutchinson, Margaret Ammons +Jeremiah Wright, and John Ammons +Catherine UNKNOWN. Isaac lived along Dunkard Creek along the border of Green Co PA and Monongalia Co WV. Earlier in his life he fought in the Bedford Co PA militia in the Revolutionary War, and also paid taxes in Colerain Twp, Bedford Co in 1779 and 1784. The 1800 census shows him in Somerset Co PA, and the 1810 census shows him in Whitely Twp, Greene Co, PA, where he died in 1820. His children were born in Maryland, Fayette Co PA, Monongalia Co VA (now WV), and Greene Co PA. It is likely that he lived near what is now Pentress, WV. So far nobody can prove who Isaac's parents are or where he came from. That's what I want to find out. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
