I believe that a C19th ancestor originated from Sutton-cum-lound in Nth.Nottinghamshire. The couple, Peter Knight (a shoemaker) and Mary Dale married S-c-L or Mattersey on 6.12.1808, first child christened 26.9.1809, Misson (died 1818 in Rawcliffe, nr. Goole where family moved to). Have traced list of names with near as possible connections back to 1714, but have found no-one to check these with, and have no sound 'evidence'.
