Need ancestors of George Baker b. ca 1784-86 in VA. or TN.,d.ca 1826 in TN. Md. Margaret Miller 1 Aug. 1809 Jefferson Co.,TN. Had six children according to 1830 census for Jefferson Co.,TN;James Elijah,Joseph,John,Jacob,Unk.Male,& Mary Elizabeth. All b. Jefferson Co.,TN George's father is unknown but most probably is John Baker, the son of Humphrey Baker the imigrant from England. New evidence by dna testing has shown that George Baker definitely does NOT descend from James and Mary(Hill)Baker as previously alledged.
