JENKINS, GIDDEON, MOORE, COX, SHERREL Looking for the families of James Richard Jenkins (born 1824 died 1885/1895) and wife Elizabeth Jane (born 1834 died 4 July 1910) Giddeon. They were married about 1853. We have copies of their participation in the Midway Missionary Baptist Church, and the 1870/1880 Calhoun County Census. We do not know the parents of James, but Elizabeth's parents were William Giddeon and Mary A. Moore. Their son, James Monroe Jenkins (born 8 January 1860 died 23 Sept 1917) married first Alice Smith (her mother was a Cherokee Indian) (and second Amy Ruff). Their son, Arthur Leonard Jenkins, married Eunice Cox, daughter of Marion McDonald Cox (born July 1833 died 1903/1908) and Mary Jane Sherrel (born April 1833 died about 1903).
