I am looking for any information about GEORGE AKINS, who was a sheriff in Woodward, Ok. I'm not sure what the time frame was. He would have been born in 1870 but I don't know when he died. My Grandma, Anna Pearl Akins, says that he was very brave and there are lots of wonderful tales about him. I believe he was the oldest son of Bloomer L. Akins and Sarah Jane Deering, both from Tennesse who lived in Coffey, Ks. during the 1880 census. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
