I am attempting to find out information about Merritt Jones of Wake County, NC. He was born in 1850 (1850 Census) and died in 1877 from some type of farm accident or something. Parents were William and Nancy Hawkins Alford Jones of Wake County. They lived in the White Oak Township. Merritt had a twin brother named Mangum. I am particularly interested in locating a grave site. He married Mary Francis Martin December 1871, and they had two children: Jenny and Vally (Merritt died several months before Vally was born in 1877). Later Mary Francis married Solomon Cooke of the Apex, NC area. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
