I am looking for any information on Francis Marion Chidester (born 1845 in IL). Family hearsay says he floated logs down the Illinois River and killed a man in Illinois. He changed his name to Marion Alfred Willis when he had to run to Tatum, Texas. He married Althea Catherine Selman in Louisiana. They had five children, one of which was our Granddad James Willis. He married Lilly Tennesee Hudson. His daughter Viola Jones was my mother-in-law. We seem to have hit a brick wall and have nothing on Marion's family in Illinois. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
