Jane McAllister, born c1842, was the daughter of Thomas McAllister. She married Edward Burns (Byrne, Byrnes) and raised her family in Lurgan, Ireland. In 1911, their daughter, Jane, born c1872, was living with her cousin, James Robinson, at 20 William St., Lurgan. Couldn't find Jane Jr in 1901 but I did find James Robinson living at 66 William St., Lurgan, with two brothers - John, age 24 and Thomas, age 20. Head of the 1901 household was their aunt, Elizabeth Malone, a widow, age 70, who was the caretaker of the courthouse. I suspect, but can't prove, that the Robinson brothers' mother was a McAllister or a Byrnes. Ditto for Elizabeth Malone's maiden name. Would love to hear from anyone with any further knowledge of this family. (My gr. grandmother was Mary Burns, d/o Edward Burns & Jane McAllister. She married Charles Clarke & lived mostly in Belfast.)
