I am trying to trace my g.g.grandfather,james taffe.He married sarah selina hanlon[widow,maiden name samuels] in 1884,in west derby. my g.grandfather,also james was born in liverpool/west derby in dec.1884. he married mary gertrude devaney. i can not find my 1st james parents or date/place of birth. I believe he may have been born in ireland. Any help would be appreciated as i don't know where to go from here.Also i would like to know more about mary gertrude's father thomas devaney. i know he married annie morgan in liverpool in 1882 and he was probably born in ireland around 1857.At the time of mary's birth he was a publican living at 75 waterloo rd,liverpool. Annie was born in wilton park,durham around 1864. She had a sister Mary and her parents were michael and susan morgan.Both were born in Ireland between 1838 and 1845. Michael was also a licensed victualler and had premises at tithebarn st liverpool in 1882. Susan's possible maiden name was murray. would like to know where born ect. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
