Traylor/Sanders connection. 1848, Humphreys County, TN. Paschal G. Traylor, of Bolivar, Hardeman, TN was granted guardianship of three children: Margaret Ann "Peggy" Traylor, Robert Sanders Traylor, and Richardson M. Traylor. Margaret and Richardson grew up in Bolivar. Margaret was the second wife of Jacob Grove. (Jacob Grove's first wife was a Margaret Taggart, d/o John Taggart, possibly of Shelby County, TN)) One of Jacob's grandsons was Edwin Wiley Grove, founder of Paris Medicine Company. According to family story, Richardson M. was raised by Jacob Grove, and Margaret Ann "Aunt Peggy" Traylor Grove. Richardson M. (Mortimer) was born 2-22-1846. He died 3-17-1922 in Bentonville, Arkansas. He was a Methodist preacher. He married Nannie Irene Walsh of Cotton Ridge, McNairy, TN. Trying to establish relationship between Paschal G. Traylor and the children over whom he was given guardianship. It is possible they were his younger siblings. Until recently the family had thought Paschal was Richardson's father. Paschal G. Traylor was married several times. One wife was Catherine C. Taggart, sister of Margaret Taggart Grove. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
