william,michael,john,timothy moriarity left county county kerry,ireland in the late 1850`s. william and michael eventually settled in indiana. michael fought with the 35th irish brigade.william was at the arsenal in indianapolis and lost an arm in a horse training accident. william is my great-grandfather. he had married anna flannagin in putnam county,indiana.they had 5 children:mary,theres,john,william and joseph. my great-grandfather`s brother john fought for the confederacy with the 1st virginia volunteers,pckett`s brigade williams`s rifles. no one seems to know what happened to timothy. I know there are moriarity`s in mitchell,indiana that are related but i`m not sure who settled there. | |||||||||||||||||||||
