I am making enquiries concerning any details of a Henry FAIRBANK who was born in America about 1818/9 and left there at the age of 14 years of age. He apparently left home after he committed a misdemeanour! He arrived in Melbourne, Australia in 1841. Some of his relatives in Aust. believe that he is related to the Henry F. who invented the Fairbanks Scales. We believe in the American connection because he named 3 sons - (1) Asa, (2) George Washington and (3)Benjamin Franklin. Hoping that you can help me. My husband is a great-grandson of Henry.
