Query Text: |
Johann Heinrich (John Henry) Dienst, born near Frankfurt at Langenselbold in 1820. Believe his father's name was Johannes and his mother's name was Maria (Mary). She was somehow related to the Lehr family. The father, who was a sign painter, died the year John Henry was born 1820. John Henry had a brother, Peter, who died before 1837. He must be buried somewhere around Frankfurt. In 1837 Maria and her son John Henry came to the U.S. along with relatives (believe Johann Lehr). They arrived in Baltimore and lived in York County PA. By 1840 they are in Wayne County, IN. By 1860 - Hamilton County, IN Whiteriver Township. While in Wayne County, John Henry married Henietta Wilhelmina Goetz who was born in 1825 near Wetzlar Steindorf an der Lahn. Trying to find info on the families especially before they came to the U.S. | |||||||||||||||||||||
