I'm looking for information about Elizabeth (or Eliza) Hawes, b. abt. 1781, prob. from the Cushing, Thomaston, St. George area in Maine. In abt. 1805 she married Aaron Bryant (b. 1783 Saco, ME - d. 1883, St. George, ME). She died May 4, 1853. The only source I have for Elizabeth's maiden name was from her grave marker in the Thorndike Cemetery in So. Thomaston which reads, "Bryant, Eliza (Hawes), wife of Aaron Bryant, d. May 4, 1853, 72 years". In the same cemetery there is a grave for a Susan (Hawes) Elwell, b. around 1778, d. 1866. Could this be a Eliza's sister?
