MY GRANDFATHER JOHN HAVENS IS LISTED IN THE 1850 SCOTT COUNTY, ILLINOIS CENSUS WITH THE FAMILY OF NEWMAN SUMNER HAVENS AS THE SECOND SON IN HIS SECOND MARRIAGE TO ELIZABETH McCORMICK AS FOLLOWS:1)GEORGE HERBERT HAVENS/2)JOHN BRISCOE HAVENS/ THE LAST CHILD BORN WAS 3)REUBEN HAVENS HE WAS BORN IN 1852/ TWO YEARS LATER NEWMAN S. HAVENS DIEDIN 1854 BY THE TIME THE 1860 CENSUS WAS DONE MY GRANDFATHER JOHN DISAPPEARED HE WOULD HAVE BEEN SEVEN YEARS OLD WHEN NEWMAN DIED/ HE DID NOT GO WITH ELIZABETH McCORMICK HAVENS TO MISSOURI AFTER SHE MARRIED JACOB CLINE FROM PIKE CO,IL. IF ELIZABETH WAS NOT HIS MOTHER WHO WAS WHERE DID HE GO AFTER HIS FATHER DIED,WAS NEWMAN HIS FATHER.ANY INFORMATION WOULD BE HELPFUL WHY WAS MY GRANDFATHER LEFT OUT OF THE FAMILY RECORDS.
