DAY

Query Text:

My great grandfather, Reuben Day was born in Liberty, Sullivan Co. New York about 1834. He died about 1870 in Palmer, Kansas. According to the 1850 census, he owned land in Sullivan Co. though he worked for a Joseph Hill. I think he must be one of the sons of Harvey or Hervey Day as he is the only Day in Liberty at the time of Reuben's birth. My problem is I can find nothing to verify this or nulify it. Harvey seems to have disappeared between 1840 and 1850. There seemed to be a rather large family of sons and only two daughters.. Thank you for any help.
