I am looking for information on my Hazelwood ancestors of Kentucky and my Fleetwood ancestors in North Carolina. My great grandfather Jessie G. Hazelwood was born in Kentucky I think. His siblings were Bessie, Nannie, Genoveve (may be more than one marriage--I don't know). His father was Josiah or Joseph and someone said his wife may have been Martha Roxanne Goode. My grandfather Jessie married Ruth Edwards of Northampton, NC. Her mother was Catherine Kate Fleetwood and her father was William G. Edwards. They had three daughters, Ruth (1894), Hattie (1905), and Sadie. Ruth married Jessie G. Hazelwood and they had 4 children--Mildred (my grandmother), Violet, Garnet, and Lucille. Any leads about the Hazelwoods or Fleetwoods would be greatly appreciated. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
