I am searching for anyone who may know anything about my grandmother hallie jane thompson who was born january 4, 1899 possibly in crawford county indiana. her parents were john and mahala thompson and her mother died when she was born. her father put her in the kentucky children's home in jefferson county kentucky. thomas and lavinia large adopted her when she was 7 years old from fleming county kentucky. her birth uncle was president of the marengo state bank in marengo indiana when she was born. she kept her name so either she was jane thompson or hallie jane thompson at birth and then just changed the last name to large. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
