I am searching for my birth son born January 1970 in Des Moines, Iowa. I was 17 years old. I lived at Booth Memorial Hospital in Des Moines for a few months before the delivery. I remember very little about any of it. I held my son for a few minutes and think I maybe signed papers. My sister Sandy Kraus was with me at delivery. My maiden name was Joyce Kraus. My parents were Paul and Marion Kraus and I was from Maple River, Iowa. I was raised Catholic so thinking maybe adoptions was thru Catholic Charities. My parents are both deceased so I cannot ask them any questions, I sense in my spirit that my son may be looking for me also. I want to know that he is ok and that I had no choice in the adoption. I am the birth mother and my nave is now Joyce Rhoads. Other adult names were Joyce Wiskus and Joyce Beasley. | |||||||||||||||||||||
