Megan (Nicole) Goldie King (Kranz). Born October 1, 1988 in Chicago Illinois to David Kranz and Theresa King under the name of Nicole Goldie King. She was adopted through Lutheran Social Services of Chicago. I believe the mother was a school teacher and the father a mechanic or in the automotive industry. She was the 2nd adopted daughter to this couple that is believed to be residing in Illinois. She is said to have grandparents in the state of Florida. Not sure whether they are from the adopted mother or fathers side. I am the wife of the birth father and has been with him for 18years, 15 of which we are married. At several times we were told by the birth mother that she (Theresa) had had continual and unsupervised contact/visits with Nicole. Though David and I have tried several times throughout several years, the adoptive parents had stopped sending us letters and pictures of Nicole at the age of 5. Not being able to "see" or "hear" of his daughters childhood, though Theresa was said to have visited and had continual contact with both the family and Nicole herself, had deeply wounded David allowing him to feel that the "mother" is granted special privileges, while the father is not-considered. There are so many attributes that had led to the relinquishment of Nicole that have deeply wounded David and he desperately needs to have Nicole fully understand the circumstances that surrounded the adoption, including that of not knowing who or where she was the first time she was "given up" for adoption. Nicole has always been a part of our lives through the past 18yrs. Through birthdays and Christmas' we have remembered, prayed and celebrated Nicole. Our children, ages 10 & 7 long for the acquaintance of their older sister. David and I would hope to have contact now that she is 21yrs of age (Illinois law had prohibited us from seeking information until the age of 21). We hope to slowly build an acquaintance and possibly a relationship with you. We have continually thought about you and David knew in his heart you would have everything you could ever need and more by letting someone else raise you. Sometimes love just is not enough, and being so young and unstable in the future, David did what he felt was best for his beloved daughter. We have not 1 day forgotten about you and not one day longed to find you. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
