I am trying to find any information about my great great great grandfather. His name was John Fitzgerald and I was told he was born in Claugberbrier (though I can not find out if such a place even existed)in 1797. He apparently immigrated to South Australia on the 'Mary Dugdale' I was told he arrived in South Australia in 1847 but from what I can discover the 'Mary Dugdale' only came to Adelaide in 1840. He was married to Hanora Mullins and they had seven children. John, Patrick, Hanora, Bridget, Anne, Ellen, and Rose. Rose was supposedly born in South Australia but there is no apparent record of her birth. She married James Salloway and died in Silverton NSW. Any info on John, Hanora Mullins or Rose's birth would be great! Also if any one could tell me where 'Claugberbrier' is I would be extremely grateful as trying to find info on this has been driving me up the wall!!! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
